A Real-Life Super Woman: Lynsey Nail

“When women take care of their health, they become their best friend.”
- Maya Angelou
Traditionally, women are known for their nurturing and caring nature. It’s no secret that some of the strongest women among us are those that attend to the needs of others. Although mothers are the greatest example of caretakers, not all caretakers are mothers. Powerful women, like Harriet Tubman and Mother Teresa, helped shape history by exhibiting the courage, selflessness and eagerness to help strangers in need. There are countless examples of women that demonstrate that same passion and consideration today. From world-renown philanthropists to local volunteers, these women come from every walk of life. Unfortunately, the one person that many of these caretakers often neglect is themselves.
Self-care is one of the most important topics in 2020, especially when it comes to the female population. Thankfully we have women that share their struggles, achievements, and solutions to problems that we all face. From physical to mental health, these ladies help coach us through our worst times and help us learn to celebrate our best moments.
Meet Lynsey Nail.
Lynsey is the owner of MsFit Nation, an online health coaching business focused on a community of like-minded professional women that support and encourage each other to achieve success. As a three-time NQ NPC bikini competitor and Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, she is living her dream of helping others.
“My true passion lies within being a part of the personal development in their lives, be it the physical, spiritual, or mental aspect of seeing someone grow into their fullest potential.”
Through her own experience, Lynsey knows exactly what women go through to achieve their ideal physique. She also knows the challenges that we can face on that journey.
“I went through so much adversity in my own fitness/health journey. I was determined to help others in a more positive way than I allowed for myself.”
When asked what she loves most about her career, her answer perfectly complimented her purpose.
“I LOVE being able to meet and talk to (and become friends with) the beautiful women I get to coach, or even the people who follow me on social and reach out. I love being able to see their transformations and watch them glow into their potential!”
Lynsey is no stranger to the mental and emotional issues that most women encounter on a daily basis. Her complete transparency in her own life is one of her most admirable traits. Lynsey’s willingness to share the difficulties she faced on her path to becoming the healthiest version of herself helps encourage other women that can relate to her struggles. True to form, her motivation for success comes from her passion to help people.
“I feel like I owe it to my clients and the people who might see my posts to produce the best, most relevant information that may resonate, even with just one person.”
When it comes to work/life balance, boundaries are key to Lynsey’s practice.
“Work/life balance is tough. My coaching business is my life (outside of my full-time job). I feel like I have been able to simply integrate my work tasks with my everyday life, so it doesn’t seem so overwhelming! My number one piece of advice is setting boundaries even if it’s for yourself (setting office hours, setting chunk block work hours, setting aside family-only time, etc.)”
As for career goals, Lynsey is clearly motivated to make a difference in this world. She has very strong words of advice for those set out to do the same.
“Don’t give up. If you know in your soul you want to go after something, do not let anyone stand in your way. Seek peace and pursue it. Always remember Exodus 14:14: “The Lord will fight for you, you need only to BE STILL”.”
